The last three… movies

Os três últimos filmes

Frances Ha (dir. Noah Baumbach, 2012)

Do you know that stage in life when you’re not in school anymore, but you still don’t have a great job, a nice apartment… When your life should be minimally structured, but it’s not? Well, Frances is right in that stage. But she’s in New York, in black and white (which makes her cooler than us mortals). I loved the movie and Frances (Greta Gerwig is amazing and she also wrote the screenplay). Watch the trailer.

Annie Hall (dir. Woody Allen, 1977)

My absolute favorite Woody Allen movie and Diane Keaton‘s best performance, in my opinion (the film won four Oscars in 1978: best film, director, original screenplay and actress – for Diane). I love Annie Hall’s evolution, from a silly naive young lady to a fabulous woman. Watch the trailer.

Religulous (dir. Larry Charles, 2008)

Documentary with the polemic Bill Maher about the current state of religion in the world. Very interesting (and funny), but I recommend it only for those who have no religion or who can have some sense of humor about their own religion and others. Watch the trailer.
